He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Merle and Alma Reed Mellott; his wife Patty Knowlton Mellott; his son-in-law Eugene Ward; and his siblings, Herman, Glenn Mellott and Irene Monte of Ramos.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicky Ward of Baltimore, Kathy Dornon (Donald) of Beallsville, Stacy Lash (Rob) of Columbus and Carla Adams (Tim) of Beallsville; his grandchildren, Casey Edwards (Ryan), Corey Dornon, Shawn Dornon (Ranae), Rachel Leek (Adam), Jessica Ogilbee (Ryan), Tiffany Blankenship (Jake), Nicole Lash (Brad Warnock) and Jordan Ward (Holly); his great grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn, Jamisyn Dornon, Bryson, Brenna Shriver, Alexis, Chase Dornon, Wyatt, Amelia Leek, Oakley, Levi Ogilbee, John and Lydia Blankenship; and his sister Betty Gallaher (Lloyd).
