He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Patterson and Ruby Gallion Patterson; his nephews, Jody Dean Patterson and John Simpson, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Wilbur Weiland and Janie Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Candy Bilyeu Patterson; his children, Marcella Derrickson (Richard) of Massillon and Kyle Patterson (Tina) of Nashport; and his siblings, Tom Patterson of Killbuck, Sandy Weiland of Millersburg and Cathy Simpson (John) of Millersburg. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
