“I was saddened to learn of Robert's death. We were next door neighbors growing up on Parmelee Ave. in Cleveland's Glenville neighborhood. Robert had an older brother, "Dickie". All the Pooles were tall and lean. Mr. Poole was a man of quiet dignity who for some time he worked as a doorman for a downtown hotel. Mrs. Poole, also quite tall, may have saved my life when in my youthful exuberance I got a candy Charm lodged in my throat. With long fingers & calm demeanor she dislodged it. R.I.P. Rob.”
