He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Caldwell and Altha Caldwell; his friends, Sunny, Yvonne and Bernard; his wife Martha Mathews; and his sisters, Eleanor Curry (Monroe) and Georgene Kisner (Samuel).
He is survived by: his children, Gary Caldwell and Lolita Hines (Erwin); his grandchildren, Jeremy Caldwell (Mayzaron), Jonathan Caldwell (Melinda), Emily Wulu (Aaron), Gabrielle Aryeetey (Peace-Love), Erwin Hines and Taylor Hines; his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Santiana, Donald Jr., Eva, Sophia, Kimber, Shiah, Gianna, Olivia and Eliana; his daughter-in-law Joy Caldwell; his sisters, Gloria Haynes, Shirley Taylor and Janice Haynes Debra (Melvin); and also, Gary and Lolita (Erwin). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
