He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice Virginia Crum; his parents, Herman Nykamp and Francina Nykamp (Schryver); his son Bruce Nykamp; and his sisters, Aaltje "Jean" Gardner, Wilhemina "Wilma" Magnarelli and Dora "Doris" Dunlap.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kimberly (Richard), Rebecca, Laura, Anne and William.
