He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph F. Sr. Dietz and Genevieve Schnurrenberger Dietz; his daughter Susan Dietz; his grandsons, Kyle Dietz and Matthew Eshelman; and his brother Gilbert Dietz.
He is survived by: his wife Louise D. Regula; his children, Aaron Dietz (Marjorie) of Beaufort, Carolyn Eshelman of Perry Township, Sarah Dietz of New Philadelphia and William Dietz of Akron; his grandchildren, David Dietz (Abigail), Heather Sharrow (Cameron), Kaitlyn Dietz, Austin Eshelman and Emily Turner (Gavin); and his sisters, Kay Lieb and Elaine Fisher. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren.
