He was predeceased by: his parents, John II and Dorothy Poffenberger. He is survived by: his wife Marcia; his children, John W. IV (Teresa) and Julie May (Jeff); his grandchildren, Meagan, John W. V (Megan), Kristin and Kevin; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Aubrey, Ava and Anna; and his siblings, Ann Jordan and R. Thomas Poffenberger (Lucy).
