He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Shepard and Mary Shepard; his wife Miriam "Mim" Shepard; and his stepmother Gertrude Shepard. He is survived by: his children, Kirk Shepard (Nadine), Robin Hawkins (Doug) and Mark Shepard (Pam); and his grandchildren, Ryan (Christina), Tara (C. J.), Kirk (Oralia), Devin, Taylor (Cortney), Paige (Amir), Jordan (Kim), Mackenzie (Kasey), Matt (Carly), Austin and Pierce.
