He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sr Rapp and Mary Rapp; and his brothers, James Rapp and Donald Rapp. He is survived by: his wife Virginia L. Rapp; his daughters, Rachelle R. Dickerson (Andy), Regina M. Shoopman (John) and Rebecca L. Rapp; his grandchildren, Andrew, Robert "Eli" Dickerson, Walter Dickerson, Gavin Durkin, Grace M. Shoopman and Daniel "Conner" Casey; and his siblings, Louis Rapp Jr., Ruth Ann McEvoy (Paul), Mary Lou Meeker (Mark), Kenneth Rapp (Beth), Cathy Rapp and David Rapp.
