She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Ehlers (Jennifer) of Richmond, IN, Eric Ehlers (Tanya) of Henderson, NV and Joel Ehlers (Marcie) of Cincinnati, OH; her brothers, Jeffery Speicher of Washington, DC, Bruce Speicher (Nancy) of Dublin, OH and Douglas Speicher of Sweden; her grandchildren, William Ehlers (Mandy), Emily Junger (Jon), Jonathan Ehlers, Erica Ehlers, James Ehlers, Andrew Ehlers, Matthew Ehlers and Olivia Ehlers; her great grandchildren, Winston Ehlers, Penelope Ehlers, Leo Junger and Evan Junger; her nieces, Diane Anderson (William), Kara Johansen (Michael), Ellen Speicher and Elise Johansen; and her nephew Jonah Johansen. She is also survived by her family and friends.

“My sympathy to the family. Mrs Ehler’s was my 5 th grade teacher at Portage. She would let me bring in my record player and records so we could play Christmas music for the holidays. I can still picture the class room and remember the seat I sat in as that is where I was when they came over the loud speaker informing us that President Kennedy had been assassinated. Mrs Ehler’s was a very good teacher and truly cared for her students.”
