She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew J. Thornberry and Mayme Thornberry; her husband Silas John Carpenter; and her sister Mable Enzor. She is survived by: her son John "Jac" Allen Carpenter; her stepdaughter Debra Klein; and her siblings, Govel Thornberry, Jenell Wymer, Janna Bauer and James Thornberry. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
