He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wilmers Sr. and Dorothy May Coffey. He is survived by: his spouse Lois A. Wilmers; his children, Cathy Jo Recker (Bill), Becky Jean Raabe (Steve) and Joseph Wilmers Jr. (Lori); his grandchildren, Michelle Moore, Julie Recker, Eric Recker (Annie), Ryan Raabe (Katherine), Krista Otten (Joshua), Jessica Mullannix (Justin) and Joseph Kyle Wilmers (Jessica); and his sibling Carol Jean Smith.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Christmas Children's Fund, Wounded Warrior Project, City Gospel Mission or the American Heart Association.
