He was predeceased by: his sister Betty Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann; his daughters, Diana Elliott (Don), Debra Herrmann (Michael) and Darlena Carter (David); his granddaughters, Maria LeMond (Korey), Heather Vance (Colin), Alyssa Ann Carter, Lindsay Ann Carter and Julia Ann Carter; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Rose LeMond, James Everett LeMond, Jude Samuel LeMond and Ezekiel Michael Vance; and his sisters, Margie Smith, Rosie Seifert (Charles), Alice Sowers and Debbie Sue Whitaker. He is also survived by his family members and extended family including numerous nieces and nephews, and close family friends.
