He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd H. Weiss; his brother Bob Weiss; and his nephew Cory Seigla. He is survived by: his wife Helen Weiss (Nee Peña); his daughters, Mindy Weiss (Chris Powell) and Nina Lee (Matthew); his grandson Jaxon Daniel Lee; his nieces and nephews, Eric Weiss and T. J. Weiss; and his border collie Jekyll. He is also survived by his wife, daughters, son-in-laws, and grandson.
