He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Tipton and Lula Tipton (Barnes); his wife Janice Roller; and his siblings, Bill and Mattie.

He is survived by: his children, Vicky, Mary, David and Mariena; his grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Joshua, Samantha, Jason, Jonathan, Little David, Robert and Miranda; his great grandchildren, Rachel, Christopher, Jordan, McKenna, Silas, Gabrielle, Laison, Selena, Ava, Elliot, Emerson, Venellope and Adalyn; and his great great grandchildren, BrayLee, Wyatt and Sebastian.
