He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Smolenak and Mary Smolenak (Krolak); his wife Rose Marie Smolenak (Klotz); his granddaughter Alissa Clovis; and his siblings, John Smolenak and Irene Godaway.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Clovis (Greg) of Barton, Mick Smolenak (Jackie) of Barton and Kirk Smolenak (Jennifer) of Barton; his sister Mary Zuzak of St. Clairsville; and his sister-in-law Kay Smolenak of Barton.
