He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Margaret Smith (Wickham); and his wife Sandra "Sandy" Mae Smith (McPherson). He is survived by: his children, Rick Smith (Susan) of Valley Grove and Melissa High (late Roger) of London, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Ricky Smith (Emily), Christa Klee (Robbie), Josh High (Tiffany), Morgan Leddy (Aaron) and Kaitlyn Sand. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnesville Fire & EMS Department and dropped off to the fire station.
