He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Ellen Posey and Elmore; and his brothers, Larry Posey, Danny and Dallas "Bub" Posey.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy D. Posey (Littleton) of Barnesville; his children, Hillary Pitts (Matt) of Morristown and Amy Breckenridge of Fairmont; his siblings, Melissa Haggerty and David Posey; and his grandchildren, Juliet Rose, Chi and Willow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
