She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rufus Brown and Anna Mae Cook Brown; her husband Douglas Giffen Pickenpaugh; and her sisters, Virginia Harper, Lucille Gossett, Elaine Edgar and Mildred Donley.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Clark of Martins Ferry, Elizabeth, Hurwitz of San Diego, California, Richard Pickenpaugh (Sherry) of Powhatan, Thomas Edward Pickenpaugh of Rockville and Jeffery Pickenpaugh of Tacoma, Ohio. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
