She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl and Bessie Lenora Carpenter; her former husband George E. Kinney; her husband Gilbert J Covert; her daughters, Sandy Gromley and Sue Carpenter; her grandchildren, Scott Carpenter, Derrick Valentine and Nary Dondzilla; and her brothers, Emerson Carpenter, Wilford Carpenter, Joseph Carpenter, Donnie Carpenter and Richard Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Ivan Carpenter, Scott Kinney, Donald Covert, Diana Valentine, Roxanne Blackburn and Donna Chase; and her siblings, Carolyn Milhoan, Bonnie Kirkbride and Frank Carpenter. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
