She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Bennett and Edith Hill Bennett; her husband Ford; and her siblings, Cecil, Clifford, Harry, Ruby, Ottolene, Georgie, Nadine and Gene.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Powell, Ronnie McKinney, Sandra Baker (William), Linda Maston (Ralph) and Barbie Rhoades; her grandchildren, Brian Vaughan (Angie), Nathan Wilson, Ginnifer Gohs (Hans), Eric McKinney (Yuliya), Dennis Russell (Malisa), Philip Rhoades (Cayla) and Joseph Powell (Bobbi); and her great grandchildren, Meagan Vaughan, Ashley Plut, Bradley Rhoades, Alexander Russell, Tyler Russell and Kathleen McKinney.

“I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was such a wonderful, fun-loving lady. I was married to her nephew, Eugene, and I have so many memories of Ruth, Ford, and all the family. We went up to see them many times and they visited us in Greenville where Ruth got hooked on sweet tea. We would send each other Christmas cards and would scratch through the name at the bottom and put ours - back and forth. I have thought of you all a lot over the past years and will be praying for you”
