It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Melnik (Barberton, Ohio), born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on June 24, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Melnik and Anna Melnik (Valatka); his son Robert Douglas Melnik; his granddaughter Katie Rhodes; and his sisters, Patricia Hopper and Nancy Ward (Ronald).
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean (Dull); his children, Gary Michael (Kerri) of Louisville, KY, Judith Protacio (Romeo) of New Franklin and Karen Rhodes of Concord, NC; his grandchildren, Chelsea Graham (Jeremey), Stacy Hicks (Robbie), Nathan Melnik, Matt (Laura), Todd (Liz), Joe (Erica), Erin Crites (Mike), Nicole Melnik, Jacob Melnik and Catherine Melnik; and his brothers, Donald Melnik of New Franklin and Dennis Melnik (Susan) of Stow. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
