With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert G. Eckel of Barberton, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on January 6, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen; his parents, Gene and Rita; and his stepdaughter Lisa Sizemore. He is survived by: his children, Christopher "Sean" Eckel, Renee Cortez and Bobbie Eckel; his stepchildren, Jennifer Sharp and Larry Davidson (Angie); his grandchildren, Sean Eckel, Chania Massey, Ellie Barker, Natalie Cortez and Skylar White; and his siblings, Ron Eckel, Nancy Little (Brad) and Mary Alice Eckel. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church of Barberton.
