He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl T. Spencer and Florence Spencer (Peters); his wife Ethel; and his in-laws, David and Betty Love.
He is survived by: his son David; his extended family, Kimberly Shifferly, Timothy Spencer (Amy Fabian), Michele Abraham (John), Mark Spencer (Rebecca) and Lori Logsdon; his grandchildren, Emily Dubowski (Michael), Matthew Abraham (Hannah), Katie (David Callihan), Kiersten (Chris D'Andrea), Molly and Spencer Logsdon; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan Dubowski and Maverick D'Andrea; his sisters, Norma Wrobel (Richard) and Mary Timura (John); and his sisters-in-law, Rosalie Marquette and Carolyn Campbell (James). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
