She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Hashman and Bertha Hashman; and her grandsons, Joey Francis and Mike Lilly. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Bard (Tim), Dianna Wilkinson (Bob), Debra Lilly (Mike), Frank Whitney, Penny Ashbrook (Rick) and Dennis Whitney (Cheryl Wheadon); and her husband Lamar Smith. She is also survived by many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
