It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Frances Currence of Barberton, Ohio, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Deb Swiger (Tom) of Oakland, Maryland; and her father David Verbsky. She is survived by: her husband Michael L. Currence; her children, Michael Todd Currence (Chiara) of Turin, Italy and Rebecca Gravenstein of Akron; and her grandchildren, Michelle Currence of Turin, Isabelle Currence of Turin, Viktor Gravenstein of Brunswick, Paige Gravenstein Pattishall (Mike) of Gainesville and Amy Gravenstein of Akron. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
