She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Pierce and Strossie Pierce. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Nicole Freed (Matthew) and Brian Lorson; and her granddaughter Kaitlyn Freed.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cincinnati Zoo.
