He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kenneth Underwood, Dorothy Shelton, Marabelle Powers, Joan Huard and Judy Underwood; and his son-in-law Guy Cannon.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestine; his children, Dr. Richard Underwood, Tara Hilliard (John), Julie Cannon and Phillip Underwood; his siblings, Jim Underwood (Marilyn) and Trudy Thomas; and his close friend Phil McCafferty. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
