He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Ruder; his brother Paul Ruder; and his parents, Margaret Ruder and Harold Ruder. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Schaffhausen, Judith Mitchell (Jeremy) of Columbus and Brian Ruder (Kristin) of Castle Pines; his stepsons, Jody Root, Beau Smith, Dallas Smith and Preston Smith; his grandchildren, Seann Di Bari (Katie) of Worthington, Jessica Di Bari (Jacob Moore) of Columbus, Joshua Di Bari of Columbus, Nathan Di Bari (Lindsey) of Columbus, Joseph Mitchell (Isabella Iaccino) of Romeoville, Matt Harrison (Jene) of Castle Rock, Brandon Harrison of Castle Pines, AJ Ruder of Castle Pines and Meghan Ruder of Castle Pines, Colorado.; and his great grandchildren, Dexter, Nicholas, Daphne, Lukas, Eloise, Cohen and Adley.
