He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. John Caples and Alpha Caples (Jarrett); and his brother James Caples. He is survived by: his wife Karen Caples; his children, Chris Caples (Pamela), Eric Caples, Amy Poynor (Jeff) and Ann Caples (Caprie); his grandchildren, Ruby, Charlie, Cameron and Madelyn; his brother Philip Caples (Judy); and his sister-in-law Billie Sue Caples.
