It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Hunter (Avon, Ohio), born in Obion, Tennessee, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Beverly Bishop; her parents, Bollin Puckett and Myrtle Puckett; and her siblings, Bollin Puckett, Jr., Bernice Morris, Moselle Shepard and Ann Freeman.

She is survived by: her husband Mayor John D. Hunter; her children, Susan Carr (Kevin), John David Hunter (Angela) and Brian Bishop (Sue); and her grandchildren, Jay, Mitchell, Daniel, Samantha, Dylan and Marie.
