He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Aukschun and Alma Aukschun; and his sisters, Loretta and Virginia. He is survived by: his nephews, David and Michael Bruening; his niece Lisa Bruening; his great-nieces, Erin, Abbey, Megan, Sarah and Madelyn; his great-nephew Callen; and also Shelby.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
