He was predeceased by: his son John Cabala; his parents, John and Mary; and his siblings, Ann Hudak (late Joseph) and Henry Cabala (late Jane).

He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Peticca (Mike) and Sue Ann Wallenhorst (Bob); his grandchildren, Julie, Joe (Paula), Matthew, Jill, Theresa, Brian, Kristen and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Lucca and Nina; and his sister Mary Tachovsky (late Hilary).
