He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Henderson and Arthur Henderson; his children, Mary Bias and Ed Henderson Jr.; his son-in-law John Bias; and his siblings, Jerry Henderson and Jim Henderson.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Laureen Dow (Zax) and Matthew Henderson (Melissa); his daughter-in-law Molly Streator (Duane); his sisters, Judy Stevens and Louise Kruder; and his grandchildren, Alex Dow, Adam Dow, Hillary Henderson Frankmann, Mitchell Henderson, Ryan Streator, Katie Bowman, Victoria Hicks, Angela Wuebbenhorst, Cassie Bryan, Josh Romero and Taz Henderson. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
