Don E. Ehrlich Sr. Obituary
Don E. Ehrlich Sr., age 90, entered into rest Wednesday February 21, 2024.
He was born on May 21, 1933 in Lorain, Ohio and graduated from Clearview High School, Class of 1951, participating in football and band. Don attended and graduated from Case Western Reserve College of Engineering, Class of 1956. He was employed as a mechanical engineer at U.S. Steel and worked at Middough Consulting and Parker-Hannifin, retiring in 1996.
Don was a member of the Avon Lion's Club and a member of the choir and hand bell choir at Avon United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, flying his Cessna 172 as a private pilot, golfing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Antoinette "Toni" Ehrlich (nee Bellinger), children Don (Kimberly) Ehrlich II, Sharon (Thomas) Gowitzka, Vickie (William) Baker and Annette (Patrick) Suttman, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and brother Edward (Jimmie) Ehrlich. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tracey Ann Ehrlich and sisters Darlene Klingenmeier and Nancy Balas.
The family will receive friends on Friday March 1, 2024 from 4:00-7:30 pm at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd. Avon. Interment will be on Saturday at 9:00 am at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N. Ridge Rd.
Amherst, Oh. 44001 followed by an 11:00 am Celebration of Life Service (live streamed at http://www.vlifetech.com) and luncheon at Avon United Methodist Church, 37711 Detroit Rd., Avon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Avon United Methodist Church, Lake Erie Nature and Science Center or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
