Robert left this world on April 8, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Sawitzke and Estelle Sawitzke. He is survived by: his wife Joan Lee Sawizke; his children, Robert J. Sawitzke (Janet), Laura M. Kress (Bill), Cheryl A. Halsey (Geoffrey) and Tracy L. Scully (Bill); his grandchildren, Robert (Sara), Meghan, Morgan, Taylor, McKenzie (Lucas), Luke, Michael and Lauren; and his siblings, Kenneth Sawitzke and Diane Straka (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Busch Funeral Home (163 Avon Belden Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (32929 Lake Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012).
