He was predeceased by: his parents, George Asimou and Marigo Asimou; his brother James Asimou (Maria); his siblings-in-law, Maria Asimou, Bill Theodore, Gus Paterakis and Thomas Carvour; his nephew Shawn Panyard; his parents-in-law, Vlasios and Panagiota Carvour; and his aunt Angelika Papayianopoulos.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, George John (Annie Laurie Allan) and Holly Stapleton (Stephanie); his siblings, Tom Asimou (Helen), Mary Paterakis and Cathy Theodore; his siblings-in-law, James Carvour and Marianne Carvour; and his nieces and nephews, Maria Jaecklein (Bill), Cathy Panyard, Elaine Kovacs (Michael), Angela Ginsburg (Tom), Maria Allman (Andrew), Pamela Nolen (Jeff), George Paterakis (Jennifer), George Theodore (Erin), John Asimou (Stacey) and Thomas Asimou.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (22909 Center Ridge Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in honor of John to the National Alzheimer's Association. The family has chosen to send donations to Alzheimer's Foundation of America Donate Now (https://alzfdn.org).
