He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Sr. Bowers and Luella Mae Bowers; and his siblings, Esther Kegley, Ruth Bowers, Paul "Pete" and Hansel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Harriet Mathes of Elyria, Huey of Orlando, FL. and Edra "Ed" of Avon Lake; and his nieces and nephews, Ruth Vittori, Patricia, Lopez, Laura McDermott, Amy Bowers, Rebecca Peavy, Wendy Bodkins, Michelle Bogle, Teresa Lewanski, Angela Webb, Denzil Mathes Jr., Kenneth Bowers and Jeremy Bowers. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
