She is survived by: her children, Eric Nygaard (Frances Van Antwerp) and Kim Sanker (Greg); her grandchildren, Bethany (Brad), Gregory (Rachel) and Theresa; and her brother Walter Schmidt. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
