He was predeceased by: his parents, Justin Holland and Maggie B. Brown. He is survived by: his wife Ladoris Holland; his children, Tammy Maxwell (Renee), Billy Jr. Holland (Beth), Melissa Holland, Brandi Woods (Darius), Erin Holland and Leslie Holland; his stepchildren, Carmalitta Jordan and Bobby Sledge Jr.; and his siblings, Michael Holland, Karen Holland, Paul Holland, Lisa Carr (Lonney), William Drake (Renata), Patricia Williams (Rudy) and Deloris Lynch. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
