With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Hankey of Austintown, Ohio, born in Butler, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 9, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Hankey and Frances May Hankey (Hockenberry); his grandsons, Jaxon and William Hankey Jr.; and his siblings, Geneva Peck, Nancy Wingle and Thomas Hankey.

He is survived by: his son William J. Hankey (Kristen) of Huron; his stepson James Osso (Brandee) of Austintown; and his siblings, Barbara Cox of Austintown, Kathy Turnbull (Jim) of Florida and Robert Hankey (Barbara) of Austintown. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
