With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Smail Sr. of Austintown, Ohio, born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on October 5, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Smail and Amelia Thomas Smail; his siblings, Sally Atkinson and George A. Smail; and his wife Margaret "Maggie" Crain Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Smail Meditz of Canfield, Ronald J. Smail, Jr. of Cornersburg and Amy Smail Ward of Orlando; his stepdaughter Hope Crain Sturgeon (Brian) of Canfield; his grandchildren, Christopher Meditz (Melissa) of Parma, Nicholas Meditz (Jenna) of Canfield, Ryan Meditz of Greenville, SC, Sean Meditz of Nashville, TN, Thomas "TJ" Ward of Norfolk, VA, Riley Ward of Jacksonville, FL, Brina Sturgeon of Columbus and Marina Sturgeon of Boston; and his great grandchild Liam Michael Meditz of Parma. He is also survived by cousins, nephews.
