He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo A Taaffe and Bernice Taaffe (Thrasher); his daughter-in-law Kristy Taaffe; and his sisters, Donna Hardie and Carol Hetrick.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Taaffe (Amy) of St. Albans, WV, Dr. Steve Taaffe (Cynthia) of Nacogdoches, TX, Jimmy Taaffe of Struthers and Sue Taaffe (Ralph Colla) of Tempe, AZ; and his sisters, Marilyn Morrison of Poland and Jere Boyer of Lorain. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
