He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Tarantino and Wanda Jankowski Tarantino; his stepchildren, Amy Medicus Hollabaugh (Jeff) of Myrtle Beach, SC and David Medicus (Julie) of Youngstown; his siblings, Tonia Mikula of Liberty, Valerie Setneska (Fred) of Selma, NC and Damian Tarantino (Russ) of Boardman; his sister-in-law Mary Tarantino of Cortland; his stepgrandchildren, Katie and Nathan Hollabaugh; his nephews, Ed Mikula (Liz), Bob Mikula and Matt Mikula (Bridget); his niece Sophia Tarantino; his great-niece Olivia Mikula; his great-nephews, Maverick and Rhys Mikula; his brother Terry Tarantino; his nephew Marcus Tarantino; his brother-in-law Scott DeArment; and also, Joseph Paulicivic (Gerri) and George Paulicivic (Betty).
Joe died from complications of many diseases he battled for more than ten years including cancer, kidney disease, leukemia, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease, among others.
