He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Koch and Yvonne Koch (Gerthung); his daughter Paula Koch; and his brother James Koch. He is survived by: his wife Diane Cline; his children, Patricia Hartsough (Robert) of Austintown and William Koch (Anita) of Austintown; and his stepsons, David Gibbons (Joyce) of Durango, CO and Steven Gibbons (Mendi) of Reno, NV. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the church or to Animal Charity, 4140 Market St., Youngstown, 44512.
