He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson, Sr. and Adelaide Pennell Thompson; his sister Patricia McClain; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Warchol, Joe Warchol, Diane Warchol and Ruth Warchol.
He is survived by: his wife Warrenette McCreary Thompson; his children, John Thompson (Cheryl) of Barto, PA, Vicki Hale (Craig) of Orlando, FL., Darlene Farmer (William) of Georgia, Mathew Thompson (Teri Clark) of Boardman and Rhonda Streamo of Austintown; his grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Stephanie, Mindy, Courtney, Alyssa, Mark, Caitlynn, Brandie, Crystal, Mathew, Joshua, Megan and Angela; his siblings-in-law, Gloria Yeany (Butch) of Austintown and Dale McClain of Tennessee; and his pets, Chloe and Holly.
John's family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Hope Center for Cancer Care, 835 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, OH 44514 in John's memory.
