She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Johnson and Etha Johnson (Barnes); her grandson Brian; and her brother Edward Johnson. She is survived by: her husband James W. Kergan; her sons, Steve Kergan of East Palestine and David Kergan (Maria) of Austintown; her grandchildren, Jacob, Christopher Kergan and Janean Crim (Damon); her great grandchildren, Christian and Keshawn; and her brother Franklin Johnson of Smithsburg, MD..

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Joanne Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center in Erma's name.
