William Stewart Korecky Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Stewart Korecky of Aurora, Ohio, who passed away on August 7, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though William Stewart may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William Stewart touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allan Joseph and Joan Viona Korecky; his wife Diane Marie; his children, Jena Marie and William Edward (Katie); and his brother EJ (Linda).

“I lived in Cleveland in the 1990s and recorded at Mars several times. Bill’s recording knowledge and energy were amazing. I trusted him implicitly and always knew he would make the best sonic calls. His heart was in the right place and his attitude was the best. I left Cleveland for NY at the end of the 1990s and we spoke a few times after but lost touch. I was gutted to read that he passed away. I was lucky to have worked with him and have only the best memories. Thanks Bill and RIP.”
