He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Meister and Constance Meister; and his brothers, Marty, Gordon, Ralph and Herman Meister.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Meister; and his children, Lionel "Lee" Meister (Shelly), Darlene Mitroff (Ken) and Diane Ross. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
