He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Dorner and Barbara Dorner; and his former wife Jo Ann Dorner. He is survived by: his children, Barbara DeWitt (Dewey), Andrew Dorner, Gottfried Fred Dorner, Jr. (Janet Groves) and Heidi Liston (Brett); his grandchildren, Jeffrey DeWitt (Jennifer), Timothy DeWitt (Alicia), Sarah McElroy (Scott), Justin DeWitt (Aimee), Courtney Miller (Brandon), Carissa Whitcomb, Hunter Dorner, Jessica Davies (Daniel), Melissa Dorner (Bryan Burrows), Joshua Florack and Kelsey Liston (Danielle Hemingway); his great grandchildren, Eleana DeWitt, Anya DeWitt, Nicholas DeWitt, Eleanor DeWitt, Rosalie DeWitt and Amara Whitcomb; his sister-in-law Judith Felt of Mooresville, NC; and his cousins, Norbert Frick and Barbara Frick of Germany.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kindrich-McHugh & Steinbauer Funeral Home (33375 Bainbridge Rd, Solon, OH 44139). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (342 S Chillicothe Rd, Aurora, OH 44202).
